Annual status conversation

The subject of the annual status conversation is the assessment of the doctoral student, the situation within the research group, career and personal development and, if necessary, the appropriate measures that need to be taken. It is conducted confidentially between the supervisor of the doctoral thesis and the doctoral student.

Doctoral students write an annual progress report in preparation for the annual status conversation. The annual progress report is sent by the doctoral candidate to the thesis supervisor.

A copy of the signed protocol of the annual status conversation is sent by the doctoral thesis supervisor to the second advisor for his or her information.

Scientific progress (basis: annual progress report) is discussed in the D-BIOL at the annual meetings between the doctoral students and the doctoral committee.

Please note:

It is the responsibility of the doctoral candidate and the thesis supervisor to keep this document until completion of the doctorate.
