Willi Studer Award and ETH Medals awarded

Under normal circumstances, the Willi Studer Award and ETH Medal are handed over during the Master graduation ceremony. Since the ceremony was cancelled in 2020, the awardees were invited to the D-BIOL’s Executive Committee to receive the distinction.

The ‘Willi Studer Award’ is awarded every year for the best achievement in every Master programme at ETH Zurich. In the D-BIOL this year's winner is Maria Dimitriu (major in Neurosciences), with the best possible grade in her Master thesis as well as in every single examination. She performed her Master thesis in the lab of Isabelle Mansuy, the title is «Towards a novel approach to multimodal epigenomic profiling”. The D-BIOL congratulates Maria on this truly outstanding result.

In 2020, six master theses were nominated for the ETH medal for an outstanding Master thesis. The two selected students' theses were:
