Winner of the ALEA Award 2020: Ulrike Kutay

The «ALEA Award» honours leaders who enable advanced and innovative working conditions and who promote and support actively the reconciliation of work, family and avocational engagement. It was this year awarded to Prof. Ulrike Kutay, Professor of Biochemistry at the D-BIOL's Institute of Biochemistry.
Non-neutralizing Abs protect against chronic LCMV infection by promoting infection of monocytes
LCMV causes chronic viral infection in mice leading to T cell exhaustion. A recent publication in EJI by the Oxenius group (IMB) demonstrates that non-neutralizing LCMV-specific antibodies protect against chronic infection by promoting infection of inflammatory monocytes and boosting T cell priming.
