Federica Sallusto elected International Member of the National Academy of Sciences
The National Academy of Sciences recently announced the election of new members and international members. One of the awardees is Federica Sallusto, Professor of Medical Immunology in the D-BIOL's Institute of Microbiology.
Admission to the American National Academy of Sciences (NAS) is a great honour. The society includes more than 3,000 of the world's leading natural scientists, mainly those with American nationality. A good sixth of the members are international members with foreign citizenship. At its 2022 annual meeting, the NAS admitted 120 new members and 30 international members in recognition of their distinguished and continuing achievements in original research. One of these is Federica Sallusto, Professor of Medical Immunology at the Institute of Microbiology.
