Joao Matos elected EMBO Young Investigator

As EMBO announced yesterday in a press release, 28 young researchers were elected EMBO Young Investigators, one of which was Joao Matos, who is leading a research group in the Institute of Biochemistry.

The highly competitive programme received as much as 224 applications, only 12.5% were finally elected. Through the programme, EMBO identifies and supports some of the best researchers under 40 years of age who are in the process of building up their own laboratory. The D-BIOL congratulates Joao to this great success.
